In February, I posted a “Tip of the Day” on my Facebook page inspired by Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way

The book is a real story of a young man who managed to turn his short life into a miracle of hope through music and faith.

When I came across the information that Zach Sobiech shares the same birthday as my son, and was the same age as my son when diagnosed; I had one of my Speed bump moments. This Facebook post was the result. And though, as always, I approached the moment with humor; the resounding message I wanted to send is in tip #3, (bottom of the post & excerpted below).

“Encourage your children and yourself to live every day as if there may not be a next. Because, there may not be. Follow heart & dreams. Fail. Love. Sing out loud. Dance wherever you are. Take risks. Travel. Try new things. Pray. Speak your mind. Do that thing you always meant to do. Tell people how you feel. Get outside.”

Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small is worth a read if only to remind us of the preciousness of life, the power of prayer and most of all that TOMORROW IS NOT A PROMISE, BUT A GIFT.

Sometimes my best work is found in a daily Facebook post that I don’t take the time to blog… it’s a problem. I will work on that. Meanwhile, make sure you pop over and like My Facebook Page so that you don’t miss out on anything amazing.
